Where 80's Metal Fans Connect

Well i've been moving into a new house for the past couple days with my mom and sister and GNR-Lies has been bringin' me some good memories of livin' in our old house. I lived in a house with my mom, sister, aunt & uncle, and three cousins for a year and I am happy that we're gettin' our own place, but I have been sad cuz me and my cousin Bruce have had a lot of good times livin' there and the song Patience by GNR has been reminding me of some of the shit we've done. Anyways, what are some of the songs that have brought memories back to you?

"Night Prowler" by AC/DC - it reminds me the night with the man of my dreams at my birthday party ;) We were drinking vodka and listening "Highway to hell" album all night :)

"All I have to do is dream" by Bob Dylan -very sad evening. My friend was playing this song on the piano, and the rest were singing and smoking cigarettes on the balcony
photograph- nickelback... they played it at my brothers funeral.. oh its a good one.. brings back lots of memories!!! well take care,
jess:)
Highway Star by Deep Purple...It will take long,so I won't explain it...
Nothing Else Matters by Metallica...don't ask me why..will make me feel suck!!!!
Dude I got tons.

Pratically the entire St. Anger Album actually connects with me, which is why I respect that album so much.

Invisible Kid- I had a harsh school life back in the days

The Unnamed Feeling- I always get this feeling that I can't describe and it turns me very dark

St. Anger- I need to learn how to "keep my anger healthy"

All Within My Hands- I alwasy wanted to just teach those that angered me a lesson...just fight them...it never happened.
One in a million. That song brings back memories from me and my cuzinz. Oh! and Patience
Jump ! from Van Halen, during 1984 I was working at a Burger King in Maryland while I was living in the US.
I used to listen to that "LP" before going to work, along with the Shout at the devil from Motley

They were really great times, I was graduating from high school too !! \m/
Sweet child o'mine.........It reminding me to my party and one boy who I love.......
Don't cry-one very sad and bad day....
PoIsOn HeArT by HIM-my nick evrywhere...my fr love to call me poison heart.....
LOVE 2 ALL MY FR IN MFA.....................................
Shout at the devil - Motley Crue , always bring great memories to me, my friends and i used to listen to this album almost every night and we actually played the album (unplugged of course we used to pretend we were Motley we were like 15 years old back then, i was Vince because i knew every lyric and had studied english, i´m from Mexico).
Danse Macabre by Celtic Frost - The whole album, Morbid Tales, marked my crossover from the melodic, air-guitar metal and pop I enjoyed in my room as a kid into more dark territory. In the '80s my friend Jimi turned me on to this and a lot of underground metal whilst getting high in his basement. It kind of brings back some bad memories in terms of what was going on in my life, but good memories in terms of music and how I began to branch out. I still find it funny that the same guy who turned me on to Samhain, DRI, CoC, etc. is the same dude who also made me appreciate Laurie Anderson, plus knew all the lyrics to an astonishing number of Depeche Mode songs.

those were the times my cousin, its too bad theyre dead. i havent spoke to you in two years cuz your now gay steven catt my cousin. i think of I WONT FORGET YOU  BY POISON

"More Than A Feeling" by Boston. My sister grew up in the 70's & Boston was one of her favorite bands. That song was her favorite song by them. She was killed in 1986 by a drunk driver. Every time I hear it it makes me think of her & all of the great times we had together & all of the awesome memories I still have of her. Love ya, sis! <3
