Fraid so, yeh, it was on all the main news tonight in the UK. 58 years old. Great guitarist and another sad loss.

Just had a reminder of him in a doc on Phil Lynott of Lizzy, who also left us much too early.

Wow, what a player. I grew up with his rocking stuff, and also enjoyed it when he went straight blues too. RIP

Just a note, he was once in a band called SKID ROW, but it was totally different band than the American 80s one.

everyone raved about the clapton version of "all your love" and it was well deserved, but when gary let it crack, nothing could touch him. once heard his playing described as blues on steroids, who rarely used his little finger on the fretboard but could play with blinding speed and accuracy, with a touch and feel many other guitarists could only envy.

have a nice flight mate. Jam up there with the best. You and Phil can start a new band, with Hendrix as rhythm.
