lol ok i will just copy and paste the basics of the answer i posted in the thread in the Crue Group on this topic
ummmmm well its really to hard to make that call ... to me they are so different to each other stylewise.
I mean this is the way i see it ... love Crue (as we all do here) or hate Crue... you can not take away from them what they have accomplished and to do what they have done of the last 30 years or so is something incredibly special. I mean how many bands do we think that are new on the scene now will still be kickin ass in 30 years - but i think that that is a sad indictment on the state music industry today (but thats just my personal opinion). So what I am saying is .. Crue are truly magical in the things they have acomplished and there style and persona. They were and are very honest about the way they lived .. Sex Drugs and Rock N Roll... no one pushed that more than Crue did.
Sixx A.M. on the other hand is (IMO) raw and real on a whole other level that i can also relate to .. I think Heroin Diaries (both the album and the book) are an incredibly honest and personal journey that i have always believed it was very brave of Nikki to do.. I know some people who think it was simply a money making scheme on Nikkis behalf but for me I take my hat off him. As some one with my own drug history .. it is incredibly accurate and (IMO) brave.
So he upshot is sorry Craig (the person who started this topic in the group) i cant choose... i guess it simply comes down to what mood I am in as to which i would choose but as a rule in my house i play them both together lol...so i simply cant...but that being said James's vocals are impeccable on that album for sure
