Are the albums that follow Steven's story the best (ok, or among the very best)by Alice Cooper??? My collection is still lacking a few albums, but so far, Welcome to My Nightmare, The Last Temptation and Along Came a Spider are on my Alice top 5!!! Not to mention Wind-up Toy, which is one of the best songs on Hey Stoopid... or it is just me??
Another thing, does Alice Cooper Goes to Hell count as a Steven album?? the only mention of him there is in the "preface" so to speak ;P

Oh how could I foget also ,FROM THE INSIDE, I'm Serious
I'm torn if the Along Came a Spider album is associated with the charater Steven, The concept of the album is about a killer obsessed with becoming a spider, (kills and removes a leg to collect a set of 8). As the story goes on he falls for one of his victoms and can't get himself to kill her (The One That Got Away). The beginning says they found his diary, the end suggests that possibly this diary was all made up, as the charater has been 'locked up for all these years'. Could this charater be Steven?.....
You're right, he mentions that "we have been locked up in this cell for 18 years, Steven, we couldn't have done all those things") but I think it is apparent that the monologue is internal. Also, the inside artwork of the album has a "this diary belongs to ______" sign and written in a child's handwriting is Steven, and in the credits of the album, in the Thanks part, the last mention is to "Steven (The Spider)." So, again I ask, is it just me? because that sounds pretty clear to me as to the identity of the Spider :s
Steven is just a cool topic for me when it comes to Alice. I think there is a part of Steven in all Alices albums. Wind up Toy is a great song, I have a son that is ADHD and feel that song is for him.
