Where 80's Metal Fans Connect

using only songs that do not have existing videos, pick a def leppard song and briefly share your idea or concept for a video for that song...without sexual graphic descriptions please, this isn't a "post your fantasy" question/discussion. this would make a great contest(!) especially if you could actually get to contribute during the development of the video and maybe even watch the creation of your concept! sigh...probably to much $ involved to really happen but wow, what an experience that would be. please don't post anything you've already done, yet...just hearing how different DL fans might vizualize the songs seems like a great topic for now.
i always thought "breathe a sigh" from "slang" would have been perfect in new orleans on a dark starry night in one of those beautiful gardens you can smell from a block away with a great red wine, candle light and a long slow dance with the one you love long after the city has gone to sleep...or anything still out would be moving to that same slow lazy southern pace...like when the air is so still it just hangs on the humidity waiting for the slightest bit of air to move...waiting to breathe or sigh.

oopps, forgot to mention their is a discussion posted out there from october 30, 2008 about what fans would like to see def leppard do next and many said release another dvd...if you added the videos released from what? "long, long, way to go" from "X" and "rock on" from "yeah!" to start the list that could be condensed. i'm glad we can watch them on line but i'd like to get them condensed on a dvd. and, with all the touring and appearances they've done some suggested using some of those dates, new interviews (technology is changing how the industry profits, i'd love to hear the band discuss the challenges they have now verses the 80's and 90's...they've always been great at keeping on the edge of technology and "trends" without ever becoming "no-talent-corporate-sheep" led to the most profitible cliff to jump off). in other words i think there is a lot of new stuff to talk about for a dvd and some great versions of the top favs like the "bo diddly" take on "pour some sugar on me" (someone help me remember that one? vh1 storytellers???) it couldn't take much more to fill up A NEW DVD AND PUT A "FAN CREATED CONCEPT FOR ANY 'UN-VIDEOED' SONG FROM A CONTEST" HINT HINT HINT HINT on there and some bonus archieve stuff maybe released in one country but not others, and/or some b-side stuff or mix it up with some more from the early days and let's not forget the guys do stuff away from the band-sort of like a box of chocolates a little of everything-on the dvd...i read lots of ideas! anyone think we have a chance to be heard? "more, more, more, more...!" "cuz a liitle too much can never be enough!" ("i wanna touch u" from "adrenalize").
I've got to think about this one...I'll get back to you. :)
what a great way to spend some time thinking though!! have fun!!! i've never posted anything on these sites so it was fun to find a response. now that i've actually shared my fav., i've been scanning the collection for a new song to "visualize." and considering all the time i'm spending waiting in dr. offices and doing tests, it is keeping me distracted...once again the band is my rock, my encouragement, and my escape!!!! so glad to "make contact" with another fan. i hope others are inspired by the question. happy thinking!!! STILL THINKING...THIS IS TOUGH. JUST DIDN'T WANT YOU TO THINK THAT I'VE FORGOTTEN YOU!

HAVE A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND :)
glad u r still thinking!! i fall asleep listening to their music and it's funny how a song can paint a picture in your head one time and another pix completely different the next time i hear it. maybe it's because i love to write or because i use def leppard as a way to stay calm at the doctor appointments (a few really BAD doctors have left me with panic attacks even if an office just calls to confirm an appointment). i learned biofeedback and a few other related tricks but def leppard is the one thing that consistantly helps me keep it together. it's still a fun way to daydream the time away no matter what else is going on. i can't think of a better way to tick the seconds away than turning the volume up or the dvd/video on!!!

thank you for the happy weekend wish...unfortunately both of my children are currently teenagers, agghhh!!!! all the more reason to tune out reality and turn up the band!! they really aren't that bad...yes they are...they could be worse...or could they? michael is almost 18 and janalyn is almost 15...and lucky for them, they like def leppard, but good heaven's they can be the most exausting and agrivating stubborn trouble makers that ever graced this part of the planet. thank god my husband is a police officer and is armed with mace, a night stick, hand cuffs...i'm kidding, sort of. at least when i was their age i had the brains to not get caught being a shit. i've told them growing up "if you are going to do something stupid be smart enough to think it all the way through first so you don't get caught or hurt!" i guess it takes too much effort because they ALWAYS get caught!!!! (usually by me). my escape from reality is a def leppard cd and a blank piece of paper!!

which video do you think is the worst fit for the song? i like the black and white photography and the feeling of tension in "tonight" from "adrenalize" but the images make no sense to me. am i missing something? i'm not complaining! i've just never understood that video.
