if priest did not forge the way in the 70 s there would be no hard ,fast ass kickin metal today because sabbath was hard but slow..and led zeppelin was blues just heavier...priest invented thrashing metal

Well said!!! If they would not have brought the "heavy metal" sound to rock, think of who we would have not have blessed with. Black Sabbath devolped a more "doomy" sound and Priest "delivered the goods" with raw speed. I don't think many people are aware of the first few albums.
