Good question KISSteria! I like all the albums they did during the non makeup years.

Fave one of them is (drum roll please)....

Awesome choice!

I love Exciter, A Million to One, and believe it or not, Not for the Innocent is one of my favorite Gene songs. The only thing I didnt like was the continuing of those fast tracks. Young and Wasted was alright, but songs like Fit like a Glove and some of the other fast ones on Animalize (I love Ive had Enough) were just trying to hard. But I love this album!!

Personally, my favorite song that Gene has ever written is Betrayed. Co-written by Tommy Thayer, I think this song really hit the nail on the head. The meoldy, guitars, everything. I also love Loves a Slap in the Face.

Awesome choice KISSmaniac! I love this one. Actually, the ONLY KISS album i do not own is Animalize. Im really not to crazy about that one. But, I will buy it. just to have it in the collection!
Dude....Not For The Innocent is one of my fave Gene tunes!

I've been damned, I've been cursed, I've been guilty and abused
I spit the hangman in his face and hung him on his noose
Habitual threat, I got you in my claws

Gonna tan your hide, rip the flesh off your bones
Look me in the eye, and you're gonna turn to stone
You're gonna turn to stone

chorus

Better lock up your daughters, we're comin' to your town
Better pray we're not around

Let the beast run wild

Freakin AWESOME lyrics.......I love the Lick It Up album....I like every song on it

I agree about Betrayed....damn good song......I think a lot of fans forget that Tommy has been working with KISS a long time...while I do not agree with the band about him doing certain things, I do think the dude is very talented.

Love Is a Slap In The Face.....just the title is cool hahaha
Sounds like me and you see eye to eye on alot of levels!
Thats a good one. I think my favorite track on Asylum is Who Wants to be Lonely. Tears are Falling is obviously great. Uh! All Night has a very catchy chorus. I think for sure you would have chosen Crazy Nights, Tiff! lol
WOW!!! This is a hard question being that all The Non-Make-up albums were great.. But after much thought and consideration.. My favorite would have to be Revenge.. Great songs , A whole lot of Gene, And as always a Kick Ass Album.
I LOVE Revenege!

I had the album years ago, and I had it ordered and it finally came in today. I listened to the whole thing about an hour ago. I think my favorite track on that album has to be Thou Shalt Not. And Take it Off. That really is an incredible album. Bruce is it his best.

Speaking of Bruce, I aboslutley LOVE BK3. It showcases his ablitlity alot more than Grand Funk Railroad does. Just my thoughts, anyway.
BK3 isbad ass thats for sure... I was sad to see him leave Kiss Bruce is a KILLER GUITAREST!! thats for sure.
I have never seen GFR and the are playing here the same day Kiss plays Charlotte this August. Oh well maybe next for them.
I like the Revenge album a lot! I missed that tour, they came to Denver in December of 92 but my dad was very sick with cancer and in the hospital, so I passed up the KISS concert to be there for him, I am glad I did too, he passed away in January of 93.

Would of enjoyed seeing that tour....but as the saying goes life is what happens when your making other plans.

Love Unholy, I Just Wanna, and Take It Off
Almost a tie for me between Lick it Up and Revenge. The production , songs and Bruce Kulick's outstanding guitar playing makes this one my favorite. I really love most every song on Lick It Up. I love the song LIU live. It was great by the non makeup lineups and was the hottest song of the night during Paul's last solo tour and the current line up does a great job too.

The first time I heard the whole album of Revenge was at the Center Stage during their club tour. They had it playing loud before the opening band came on and I could not believe how great those songs were. The show was one of my all time favorite Kiss concerts.

I really like Asylum too. I just got it on CD and been rocking out in the car to it.
AT THE TIME MY FAVORITE'S WERE LICK IT UP AND ANIMALIZE
THE ONLY I LIKE OFF OF HOT IN THE SHADE IS FOREVER, AND
I AM IN THE RISE TO IT VIDEO!!!
THE REST HAVE SOME OK SONG'S HERE AND THERE...
