On this date Aug 8, 1992 - Montreal accident
James Hetfield was burned onstage while performing at Montreal's Olympic Stadium when he got too close to special-effects flames. The left side of his upper body and head suffered second- and third-degree burns.
Later that month they played a new show in Montreal.

I agree they are amazing .. and I remember that happening like it was yesterday .. and what Lars said when they couldnt play and all that ...As for Axl the little sissy .. pfft....... it was a REAL shame the fans dropped their brains after though. Not a proud moment to be a fan .. but our boys are worth all the loyalty we can muster with the amount they have shown us over the last 30 or so years

Sorry in this case I was referring to Metallica cos this is the Metallica fan group :) ... I am a fan of both bands... And when I say both bands I mean the REAL GNR... However I must say I do love Ashba I think he is very talented I just think he is better suited to Sixx AM and his solo stuff .. but I have respect for him as a musician as I do for metallica sadly I can no longer say the same for Axl but I guess I can live in hope (or denial) that one day he will pull his head out of his ass and realise what he is doing. But no denying the dude is talented despite all the shennanigans... BUT I will NEVER understand why he did what he did .. with THIS particular situation in 1992 :(
