Hey Crue fans!
I caught Vince and his band in Denver last night. It was a wonderful show! Vince played for about an hour and a half and did a set that was mostly Motley Crue classics. He started off the set with Live Wire and did other faves we all love such as Wild Side, Kickstart My Heart, Girls, Girls, Girls, and a wonderful version of Home Sweet Home. I really enjoyed when they played Piece of Your Action, and it was cool Vince actually remembered the lyrics! The only solo song he did was Tattoos and Tequila. The band Vince has for this tour is fantastic! Especially the drummer who reminded me a lot of Tommy Lee. It was also really cool to get up close to Vince. Brought back memories of seeing the Crue on the Shout at the Devil tour in 84 when I had front row!
I was a little disappointed in one part of the set. Vince left the stage for almost 15 minutes while the band played a cover of Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell and then a medley of Led Zeppelin songs. They were really good, don't get me wrong, but I wanted to see Vince, not hear covers of other bands.
Anyway it was a LOT of fun and Vince seemed to be having a really good time, and that's what rock n roll is all about! Here's a few pics from the show:
Permalink Reply by Worker Traveller on January 28, 2012 at 2:02am Congratulations, looks like a great show. I saw Crue in November and Vince and the band were on form then too.
The last time I'd seen them was in 1984 too, funnily enough, at the Monsters of Rock: http://www.ukrockfestivals.com/donington-1984.html
Although they were the first on out of 7 bands, Van Halen were the only band I liked more; VH were my fave band at the time.
With regards to the break in Vince's set, I guess it must be necessary; better to play for 90 minutes with 15 minutes break than just an hour non-stop.
Cheers, Marc.

Permalink Reply by CRUE-REGIO on February 14, 2012 at 7:09pm Maybe he went for both hehehehe, Vince has always lived the Rock n´roll lifestyle, with it´s consequences, wich is good for one part and not very good sometimes but hey that´s the way he is.........
Thanks for your review KissManiac.....i have seen Vince with his band a couple of times and both times i had a wonderful time, one of them was with Sebastian Bach, unforgettable night.
