He was the best bassist ever! We can see in all his albums,but Kill 'Em all is something amazing.First album from Metallica and really one of the best albums ever made.Rest In Peace,Legend!

Unfortunately, I never got to see him play live. I get to hear and read all these
stories of how awesome he was as a person and bass player was very sad to
have him pass away so young who knows where he would have taken Metallica.

I saw Cliff also, on the Puppets Tour opening for Ozzy. He was an INCREDIBLE musician and showed everyone what could be done with a bass. Cliff Burton is in league with Randy Rhoads and Jimi Hendrix, not because they all died so young, but because they were the BEST at what they did. Metallica was never the same without him, and I found them terribly boring post-Cliff.
