Sykes for me. DA is really good, but John Sykes breathed a real freshness into Whitesnake when he came along in '84. The difference he made along with Neil Murray to the remixed version of Slide It In was incredible. He was awesome in concert too. I saw him a couple of years back with Thin Lizzy and he was really good with them. I know he was with Lizzy before he took up with Coverdale & Co. as I saw him with the great Phil Lynott (RIP) and Lizzy. In the more recent line-up of Thin Lizzy he really shaped his voice well to try and sound like Lynott and he did an extremely good job.
