- What are your favorite 80s metal bands?
- Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Yngwie Malmsteen, Europe, Heart (do they count?), Alice Cooper, W.A.S.P. Used to like Iron Maiden's older stuff, and Metallica, but associate them with the ex husband so don't really wanna go there for a while. :))
My teen idol was Joey Tempest lol but Jon Bon Jovi always had the best voice, and they have better songs, and I have loved them more as the years have gone by. Like quality wine, they get SO much better with age. They are the BEST!
Why Bon Jovi?
I just saw Bon Jovi in concert at Twickenham, London on 27/06/08 and they reminded me what real music is all about! They are just amazing. 2&1/4 hours of non-stop singing by Jon Bon Jovi, save for one song by Richie Sambora. How they hell do they do it? They never faltered, just as good as their cds. It was the best concert I have ever seen in my LIFE.
Mum has been a Bon Jovi fan for over 15 years now, and I have always liked them, but she has never been to a concert - never been able to afford it. So I saved and took her for her Birthday. I have been to concerts but never to see these guys (ex-hub had already seen them in concert before we met so didn't see why he should have to go again :(.. ) Me & mum sang, cheered, cried and danced all night long, it was just awesome. Here is the first song they did in their Encore. We were there, this is what we actually saw. It's called Hallelujah, proof this man can sing anything. Wow.
The person who took this was SO lucky to be so close! But we were there! Seeing this for real! God he so gets better with age! lol :)))
Please hurry up back Bon Jovi! I got 15 years to catch up on! I just want to re-live it all over again! XXXXX
