About the kinds of music I like...

I like a LOT of DIFFERNT KINDS of music.

ROCK N ROLL has always been the type of music I like to listen to the most but I also like country, Christian, jazz, blues, classical - instrumental ...and...even some Broadway musicals (Yeah! Read right! So! You got a problem with that?) and... I ALSO like ragtime too (which is basically an upbeat type of piano music from the 1920's era... don't knock it til you've taken a few minutes to listen to it).

I get my wide range of tastes in music from my mom and dad and older brothers. They were musicians.

My mom JEAN (MORRIS) FISHER-MURRAY-REED... sang and played the piano for church.

My dad ROBERT MURRAY aka: BOB or BUCK to his friends... sang and played the guitar...and even wrote songs. He also had his own radio program (Before I was born...In the 1950's)...I think it was called..."Tex Arkansas...(pronounced 'Arkannah')...and His Blue Grass Band".

I created a MySpace page for him with some of his music from 1953-4; in case you'd like to hear what it sounded like (don't worry...I won't tell anyone that you were listening to "country music"). You'll find the URL address on my MySpace page (Just copy and paste it if the link doesn't work).

My oldest brother RON FISHER sang and played piano/keyboards.

While my brother JEFF FISHER sang and played bass guitar.

Which is why I grew up with a wide variety of musical tastes.

I even like rap music (Well sometimes...When its clean and not talking about women being bitches and whores and/or about killing people).

BY THE WAY...SPEAKING OF RAP MUSIC - Here's a little trivia for ya, that you might find interesting...

QUESTION: What do you get when you cross 80's rock with rap?

ANSWER: BLONDIE!...Blondie's "Rhapsody" was considered to be the first "rap" song to make the top 10 Billboard charts.

Really! No kidding. I read it...(Somewhere a few years ago. lol).

I imagine that some of you are probably thinking..."That's not "rap" music!" but that's what it said (Don't shoot the messanger. lol).

Anyway, back to the kind of music I like...

Ive been told by a few people, that I'm "stuck in the 70's (Speaking of..."Does anyone happen to know where the 70's page is at?" lol ;o) ..."I think I took a wrong turn at Albuquerque". ;o) lol).

All jokes aside though... I'm determined to prove those people wrong; Which is why I'm here. "It's true"...I do love the music from the "70's" (THERE! I said it! ...and I'm NOT ashamed to admit it either! lol), but I also love a lot of the stuff from the 80's...both heavy metal and pop music too).

NOTE: Some of the groups/artists I mentioned at the top of the page might be considered "pop rock" to some people. I realize that some some people might not consider them to be "heavy metal" at all, but hey...it depends on your point of view. For example... What about "Pink Floyd"?...It's not "heavy metal" rock, but it isn't "pop" rock either...so what does that make it?... "psychodelic"?... Whatever it is...it rocks to me! Then what about "Boston"? I mean, they definately rock, but I don't know that I'd call them "heavy metal"...and techniquelly they started out in the "70's"...and lasted all the way through the 80's. Y'see what I mean? It can be hard to classify 'em at times.

I think we can all agree on one thing...ROCK N ROLL RULES!

So, let's just take the advice of one of my favorite 70's bands and "listen to the music" (for those of you who aren't familiar with who I'm refering to...I'm talkin' about "The Doobie Brothers").
