Remember D.R.I.

They're more remembered by me as a punk band, but they certainly had a lot of thrash elements to their music. They have been cited as influences on Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Testament, and Anthrax. Interview with David Draiman

I only mildly like Disturbed, but I've got some friends that are huge fans. I could easily put them into the "Bands I Just Don't Get Thread" but I will say this.....I have heard a few radio interviews with Disturbed frontman Draiman. I even heard at least a two hour one as I drove across Georgia one night. I think the guy is top notch and came across as very intelligent and posed his views very well.

Ok KISS fans, time to grab your wallet.....

Ace Frehley's suitcase that he used in the 70's and 80's is being auctioned off by KISS' one time bodyguard. The reserve for this Ebay auction hasn't been met yet, and the highest bid is nearly 3 grand. The suitcase is signed by all four members and even has the KISS logo hand drawn by Paul. Faith No More Greatest Hits...

Some will argue it's not our metal (and I would be one of those people) but I always liked this band. I thought it was good rock and roll and had energy...they certainly put out some great shit after Epic, so check it out if you gets the chance. Finally replaced some of my Dio tapes (yes, I still have some) with CDs.

Yeah, I know. I'm fuckin' old. I just didn't see the point in replacing perfectly good tapes until I had to. Well, all my tape players are starting to fail, so I had to. Can't go without my music. Now I've got to save up for a new stereo for the car. Until then I'll just have to go insane without tunes. Shit.
