HAPPY XMAS AMIGOS FROM the real Glam Sleaze Flamenco punk kings GYPSY PISTOLEROS!!!!!

"Britain'sgreatest ( and only) Flamenco -glam-metal band returns with an impressive five song EP that will make even the grumpiest want to don a skull-festooned headwrap, smoke exotic cigs, and join some weird carnival. It deftly mixes Shout-era Crue with Ennio Morricone."

A tribute to the endurance and power of metal heads

The Pryor newspaper (Pryor is the town in Oklahoma that annually hosts Rocklahoma) ran an article this week saying that despite the 100 degree heat, fans came out in droves to support the bands and that arrests and general problems were very few. If you made it out to Rocklahoma, or any festival this year, I applaud you. I can tell you that it is not easy standing in that heat to rock out, but it sure the hell is worth it.… Continue

Anthrax at Rocklahoma..

The boys at MFA didn't make it down for Rocklahoma this year, opting instead to keep it kinda local and rock out at the South Dakota Rock Fest. I haven't seen Anthrax since the Among The Living Tour (opening for KISS) so I thought it would be cool to post some Anthrax at Rocklahoma footage. Here ya go, the audio isn't the… Continue

the video for Dr. Wicked (inspired by Jack Kevorkian) was released recently. The track comes off the new Leatherwolf album New World Asylum. These guys will be at Rocklahoma this year, so if you plan on making it out there this summer I hope you catch 'em and I hope they sound as good live as they always do on… Continue

Torrential Downpours Fuck Rocklahoma In The Ass. And Lynch Mob rocks!

Well, if you haven't heard by now, rain has been whipping our asses here at Rocklahoma for about 4 hours now. Your MFA Admins are a-ok, though, because we are impervious to weather, magic, spirits, heartburn, and also gingivitis, if those cocksucking Cavity Creeps ever show up.

I've seen a lot of rainstorms, and I think the one that started pounding us here at the festival was THE worst I've ever seen. If not, it was damn close. The rain came after Black 'n' Blue played, and then… Continue

Rocklahoma 2008: Living Colour, Night Ranger, Extreme, Triumph

I have a lot of respect for musicians. They master their craft for decades, they make songs that the world at some point grows to love, and they go pour their hearts out on stage night after night for people all around the world. That said....

Friday was definitely an off-day, music-wise, at Rocklahoma. The fans were still in full force having a good time, which in turn means we're having a GREAT fucking time, but the final four bands of the day were Living Colour, Night Ranger,… Continue

Rocklahoma: Should You Come? The Real Deal

As you Angels know, most of the time here on MFA we're 100% about the music. And you'd think that'd be even more the case here at 5-day rock festival that showcases all of the music that we all love so much. Make no mistake, the music you take in here over five days is just mind-blowing. You've seen the lineup. I don't have to tell you that.

But the best thing about the show, in my opinion, is not the music. It's the people.

Now, I am a man who, in my normal life, hates… Continue

RATT rocks the house at Rocklahoma 2008

Hello, Angels! Here's the first of many promised updates from rock'n'roll ground zero, Rocklahoma 2008.

Last night, RATT closed the festival out with the best show I've ever seen them put on. (I've only seen them three times, but still). You may remember us talking about their show at Rocklahoma 2007, which was a bit of a disappointment. But last night was a different story.

As usual, Warren DeMartini was brilliant. That guy is just amazing...it's not just that he's a… Continue

Rocklahoma Question

Maybe I just don't know how this promoting shit works, and maybe I'd be the world's worst promoter with this thinking -- but why the HELL did they announce that they're adding a fifth day without having bands lined up or, if they DO have bands lined up -- why the fuck don't they tell us who they are? The festival is less than 2 months away, and one would assume it's not sold out -- so shouldn't they reveal ALL of the bands in order to get more people to buy tickets?

Steelheart To Play Rocklahoma

Sunday daytime. This doesn't excite me, but I'm glad they're playing because I know they have a pretty solid fan base and they were well received last year.
