Where 80's Metal Fans Connect
Hair Metal Christmas Album
Good ol' Slam sent this to my attention today, and I thought I would share, since I am listening to it right now and it kicks ass. It's called "Monster Ballads Xmas," and it's a bunch of Xmas songs by our old favorites, except with a lot more guitar than they had back when I was singin' them back in elementary school choir. Here's the lineup:

I was setting here listening to these songs on music.com Some are pretty cool. I really like Firehouse's version of Rockin around the christmas tree.

And Dokken's version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" is basically "Dream Warriors" with different words.

A couple comments:
a) Firehouse is a natural with "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" -- great song for them.
b) Faster Pussycat's version of "Silent Night" is creepy and weird, like most of their recent stuff. Basically, this song sounds like what you'd expect to hear if you walked into Santa's Workshop and found Santa ass-pounding a ball-gagged Mrs. Claus while elves tugged on his nipples and punched him in the ballsack.
c) Jani Lane's "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is pretty festive.
