What was your first METAL cd/album?

My first record EVER was Kiss Alive 1. I was about 10 I think. From there I went to Foreigner, The Cars, Van Halen and Billy Squier. My first true metal album was Judas Priest Screaming for Vengeance, and I freaking loved every second of it. It was the album that turned me from a rocker to a metalhead. Thank you Rob and company!

The first one for me was AC/DC's "Back In Black". That is the album that ignited my passion for this music, and it will always be one of my favorites.

The rumour was that Gene Simmons was instrumental in the rise of Van Halen. If you read the credits on the back of the first Van Halen album you will see that they mention him - just a bit of trivia for ya.

There's a demo floating around of Van Halen's first album that was supposed to be produced by Gene I believe.
