My personal favorite is Poison. they put on an awsome show and not afraid to change it around a bit too. They're cool!

Guns N' Fuckin Roses of course!!!!! i cant believe u had 2ask!! then Motley i suposse. but Gn'Rs the fuckin best of the best!!! but hey Danny Warrants pretty good. i agree with u totally but Warrant rocks. not like Gn'R course but still.....

Skid Row, Guns 'n' Roses, Motley Crue (or maybe Crue and Guns) and finally Poison which I don't really like much...How about u Katie?

So this will be weird.....when I think better, I think of song writing first(I'm a lyric junkie) then progressive new sound and the raw talent of the band as a whole and as individuals...Yep folks I'm a geek:) my personal favs are not nessasarily reflected in this list(cuz it sooo wouldn't be this order)
1) Crue- they were "pioneers" so to speak, and Nikki is the backbone lyricly(sp) and musically
2) Have to go with GnR-but they could have been so much more...Appitite has to be the best debut album by any band of any genre to date...
3) Skids- Sabs voice is epic and the sound writing is relatable and during a time when every band had on makeup and were "pretty" they weren't so much (I still like their new stuff too, I didn't until I saw em live and it's tight)
4) Poison- still lyricly tight but musically not as inspiring as the above 3...

Actually those were my four favs when I was younger(cuz you know we all made lists of who we loved and in what order we loved them..lol)

motley crue, gnr,poison and skidrow., and in that order. and i could be wrong but if the few remaining brain cell are right , isn't that the order in which they became famous.

wrong ,on your end and mine, good lookin out. danny d, i did some lookin in to this and found out that i was sorta right the offical order is :
# 1. motley crue, they where headlinein the own show with threater of pain when guns and roses where opening for other big boy bands, hahahah.
#2. poison, yep this is where i was wrong, i thought gnr came out first but after realy lookin into it i see that poison was already a band before slash tried out and lost to c.c. devile (funny news to me) can you just imagine slash all glamed up, haaaa that would been funny as fuck to see.
#3. guns and roses, i had no idea they came out so late, didn't feel that way, maybe because they blew there wad on appitie and toured for ever on for one record. great album though
#4. skid row, i knew these guys came to the table late, but they where one of the few bands that came in with the right sound for that time, probaly why they did better than most.

1. Motley Crue~~love 'em & always will
2. Skid Row~Bas had the vocal chops with the original lineup but I've not heard anything with the new vocalist.
3. GnR~~they had a great sound and a stellar lineup back before it all blew up.
4. Poison~~dig some of their songs but I really can't say I'm a huge fan of theirs
