Where 80's Metal Fans Connect

For some reason, I always thought RATT was a "second" tier band from our metal. Not for the music, it was as good (or better) than any in the genre, and RATT remains one of my top five bands from the era, but for some reason they didn't quite have the rabid GNR, Metallica, Crue, or Poison following. They weren't as glam as some of the true glamsters, and weren't as hard as some of the heavy boys. Certainly popular among our metal, but never had the true cross-over widespread appeal. I'll put Cinderella, and their excellent music, in that mold as well. RATT's early stuff was a little heavier, however, and also very good. An overlooked cruncher from them is Lack Of Communication. I think one of the reasons I like RATT so much were the kick ass riffs. Robin and Warren were certainly a hard duo to beat. One of the harder offerings from Poison back in the day was the title track to the debut album. Look What The Cat dragged in had it's share of ballads and bubblegum, but there were certainly some harder rockers there as well. Cry Tough and Look What The Cat Dragged In were two of those heavier ones, but Look What The Cat Dragged In was certainly heavier. It might actually be their heaviest song now that I think about it. But thinking is not really what I do (ask anybody who knows me), asking my fellow Angels what they think is more my speed. So...I ask you...which song do you think rocked harder---Lack Of Communication or Look What The Cat Dragged In?

This is a great live version from Poison I dug up...Donnington 1990--HELL YEAH!

Oh, I will have to vote for Poison, 'cause they did rock harder and still rockin' harder today. "Look What The Cat Dragged In", is something I say all of the time.
