but Def Leppard is playing in Ottawa,ON. Canada this weekend and I plan on seeing them again..for the fourth time..Rock On!!!

Hi from the new guy! No one knows me here, but let me start by stating that I don't try to start any shit. I have my opinions, I'll post 'em, and everyone is free to agree or disagree. But, I just want to have it be known that I don't say things that are purposefully inflammatory. I don't have a need to start arguments for arguments' sake. Ok? Ok.
The "Popularity" vs. "Album Sales" debate confuses me. If you're popular, won't you sell lots of albums? And if you sell lots of albums, aren't you then kinda popular? Seems like a circular argument to me.
I interpreted the question to be, "Who do YOU think is better....?" At some point, the discussion turned to attendance, and awards, and sales, and popularity, etc etc... I dunno about you guys, but I don't consider ANY of that stuff when I decide who I like. Or use it as back-up when I state who I like.
"Why would you like Def Leppard when KISS has the most American gold records ever?" What does that have to do with what I like? Maybe I'm just weird lol
I like both bands a lot. I discovered Def Leppard in my early high school years. GREAT stuff! "Pyromania" was my introduction. I'm sure you're all nodding your heads right now lol
I discovered KISS a few years earlier, about 6th grade. Their look was the hook, their music sunk it in deep, and they've been providing the soundtrack to my life ever since. I think KISS is better, for purely personal reasons. Their music goes right to my core, and their live show is unequaled.

They are both ausmn bands....Who is better is a debateable question....they are totally different kinds of music......I'd have to say it's a tie......Rock On.....
