they influenced many of the thrash bands of the 1980's and beyond what do you think of them?

i like them very underrated band unfortunately them and tom's first band hellhammer are not only early black metal staples but 2 of the most influentual bands in metal history! too bad that they are more appreciated by musicians than they are by fans!

An amazing band that never really gets the attention that they deserve. Frost fans are hard to come by.

I love Celtic Frost and Hellhammer and they made a great comeback recently with "Monotheist".
Unfortunately they have split up again but they made some classic albums.

I have Cold Lake on vinyl, mainly bought because of the cover. Every once in awhile I pull it out and give it a spin to remind me of why I don't like it. I hear it's when they tried to go more "mainstream"... either way it's pretty horrendous stuff, I've never heard anything else by them.
